10 business New Years resolutions

Want to start this year off on the right foot?

.

excited about a new year for your business?

.

New Year’s resolutions aren’t just for losing weight and eating more carrots.

.

You should be having New Year’s resolutions for your business this year.

.

I encourage you to take 30 minutes and write down some goals you want to reach and some action steps to grow your business this year.

.

Maybe you want to make a certain amount. Maybe you want to have certain amount of clients.. maybe you want to step back and actually take more time with your family.

.

.

.

Whatever the reasons are, make sure that you’re writing down action steps as well so that your resolutions can become realities.

.

Just know that the majority of resolutions stop after just a few months of making them. So it’s so important to write down feasible goals than huge goals that are impossible to reach.

.

.

Here are my top 10 favorite resolutions that will help get you started.

.

Resolution one: connect better with your clients.

.

Referrals are still the number one way that people hear about you, therefore you really want to make sure that you were connecting with clients over social media and sending them referral cards and bonuses if they send their friends over to you

.

.

Resolution two:

.

have a work life balance!

.

.

It’s very easy to get caught up in making money that you stop having time with your family. Set up regular business hours or stop answering your phone and text messages after certain time.

.

.

Resolution three

.

Be creative with what you have

.

You don’t always need to have the best equipment or the latest and greatest thing on the market in order to be successful

.

Resolution four:

.

Get out there more!

.

.

Join a new group of people to meet, order more business cards. Start being really proactive and talking about your business.

.

Resolution five:

.

Stop paying for advertising

.

There’s so many free ways to advertise your business to person to person marketing, through social media, Facebook marketplace and more!

.

.

Resolution 6

.

Understand your audience.

.

Speak to your ideal client with every post. Do they have kids? Are they vegan? Do they love animals? Don’t try to reach a wide audience- just try to reach ONE person.

.

.

Resolution 7: share your gifts

.

. Giving back is a huge part in that only making your business look good, but it’s also a great place to meet other people.

.

Volunteer services at a charity event or some type of other family friendly event to really get to know people in different circles

.

.

Resolution 8

.

.

Don’t take EVERY Job

.

.

It’s very easy to just say “yes” to every single inquiry but I encourage you to do some research on the people that you’re working with,

.

.

Resolution 9

Start teaching people.

.

Start getting students under you- mentor, teach and have other business owners that are just starting out to mentor. Not only will they be able to learn from the best, but they will some of your greatest allies in a pinch when you need assistants.

.

10 stay focused

.

The worst thing when you’re trying to promote or work on your business, is that you get distracted with cute kitty videos on YouTube.

.

Set a timer if you need to so that way it’ll keep you focused during your computer time

.

.

What are some goals and resolutions that you have for your business this year? .
