5 Ways to rebuild your photo business after COVID- 19

Is your photography business dead from COVID and don’t know where to get started on finding photography clients after this is all over?

Being a homeschool mom of three and we’ve moved 6 times has really taught me to strategize, market and gain a following early on!

Now with the Internet we get to have a lot easier time growing businesses, making contacts and finding clients

Here are the best simple steps to get your photography business started back up in a new season.

Step one:
Start with a strategy now when every thing is quiet.

Don’t just Netflix and chill. You can zoom chat with clients. Interview other pros online. Take classes, try out gear, make videos and more!

Don’t just sit in your butt. Now is the time to get the foundation laid for a great year!

Step two:
Start getting a tribe or continue building your tribe

Get on Facebook groups like your life depended on it.

Don’t just get some photo groups, but request access to local groups I your niche- soccer moms, homeschool groups, religious groups, yoga groups, business women, rising tide societies and more!

Step three:
Start doing SEO work in your location

Start blogging in titles and wording in your location

Like “Baltimore family photographer”

Start writing the new location on every single post, blog and on the bottom of your website

Step four- yes, you can play for google or Facebook ads

for AdWords in your location and keywords- like “Baltimore family photographer”

create landing pages from a paid Facebook ad to capture names to a mailing list and giveaway a freebie like an ebook?

Step five-
meet real people!

Get involved with some local classes, meetups, mom groups, yoga groups and bring your camera everywhere. Bring your business cards, where a shoot with your business name in it.

Set up a table at various showcases, marketing events or meet ups - or run a photobooth!

You’ll meet people, pass out your card and get people to sign up on your mailing list

Step 6 (bonus!)
Start posting daily, making “friends” in groups and Facebook

Start blogging helpful content weekly (by helpful, I mean, “5 Locations in Baltimore for Family photos” or “What to ear for your Baltimore Family Fall Christmas Photos”

Start using local hashtags in your market “#Baltimore” “#baltimoreadventures”

Start doing helpful videos or content  on your instagram and Facebook weekly

Hopefully that gets you started on getting settled in your new strategy, find clients and get your business going!
